MOOV Rotterdam is a student-run moving and storage service for students in Rotterdam. By creating an account or booking a move, you agree to these terms. They're written plainly on purpose — if anything's unclear, email bookings@moovrotterdam.nl.
1. what we do
We help students move between housing and storage in Rotterdam — local moves and short-term storage around the university calendar. We're students ourselves, not a licensed removals company, and we handle your move with reasonable care.
2. your account
You need an account to book. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for the accuracy of the details you give us. You must be 18 or older to book.
3. bookings
When you confirm a date in the app, you're requesting that slot. A booking is confirmed once it shows in your terminal as confirmed. Each day has a limited number of slots, and some dates may be closed off — the app will only let you pick available dates.
4. pricing & payment
- Base move — €115. Premium move — €165. Your tier is shown before you confirm.
- You pay the operator on move day. We don't take card payments on the website.
- Any referral credit you've earned is applied to the price shown at booking, and the reduced amount is what you pay.
5. referral deal
- Share your code. When a friend signs up with it and completes their first booking, you each get €10 off.
- Your friend's €10 is credited at sign-up and applied to their first move. Your €10 is credited to your account once their first booking is completed, and applied to your next move.
- Credit has no cash value, can't be transferred, and is only redeemable against a MOOV move.
- We may withhold credit we reasonably believe was obtained through fake or abusive sign-ups.
6. cancellations & changes
Need to move your date or cancel? Email us as early as you can at bookings@moovrotterdam.nl and we'll sort it. Because slots are limited, please give us as much notice as possible.
7. your stuff
Please pack and label your boxes properly and don't ask us to move anything illegal, hazardous, or beyond the agreed box/big-item count. We treat your belongings with care, but as a student service our liability for loss or damage is limited to what the law requires and, where permitted, to the value of the move. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Tell us about anything fragile or valuable in advance.
8. acceptable use
Don't misuse the service, the website, or the referral system. We can suspend or close accounts that abuse these terms.
9. privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in our privacy policy.
10. changes & governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by Dutch law, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
